Raffle

What a day! Early players may have had it a little easier, but by the time they started filing back into the pro shop the heat was up, the wind was gaining strength, and there was a general feeling of relief that they had finished. When the final group of Jim Campbell, Don Camm and Mick Sims literally staggered into the club rooms those present actually applauded them. Well done to all those who played. One can only wonder just how many kilos were shed over the day. Raffle time saw numbers well down, but there were enough to make it worthwhile, especially for John Swaney who had his first win of a Cliffex meat tray. Some wondered who John was, but if they checked the 2015 Syllabus they will find his name there as a member who plays in the mornings. We are having a good spread of winners over recent weeks. Second meat tray was won by Paul Dennett, and the Crown Lager went to David Bryan. The fundraising section of the club extends thanks to all members for their`support over the last year, and wishes everybody a very safe and happy Christmas and a very careful New Year celebration.
