Greens Mower Invitational Event – 9 Hole Mixed Ambrose on 26th May 2019

The good weather order did not get through to BOM as it felt like Winter had definitely arrived early on Sunday 26th May but luckily the rain stayed away! Only 2 teams pulled out leaving a total of 68 players competing on both 9’s, amazing considering the weather. It was a superb response as originally only the back 9 was to be used for this event so thanks to all those who supported this great fundraising initiative, you will see the benefits on the greens with the addition of this new mower. Caroline Lester secured the bag for the bargain price of $150 while Richard Crago was the highest bidder at $450 for The National prize. Well done to Caroline & Richard for digging deep to purchase these items and to Rob our impromptu auctioneer!

This event would not have been possible without the help of many people so thanks to all of the following: Steve Lay for coming up with the fundraiser idea and together with his wife Sue for organising the BBQ as well as all those who helped them on the day including those who helped with cleaning up, all of the Bar Staff, Shane Johnson for his donations & arranging for the course to be available for the event and of course Damon, his ground staff and the volunteers. Thanks to Neil Fredricson who took all the NTP’s out then collected those that were not brought in as well! To those who donated prizes: Andy & Ros Thompson, Jodi Crago, Judith Whittaker, Neil Dennett & Gerri Robson, a big thanks for your generosity. If anyone has been missed, apologies and thanks for your help/donations too!
