Ladies Golf 29/04/2017

There were no ladies who played today due to the wet weather as well as being tired after a big day on Friday when the ladies hosted 14 visiting teams who were competing to win the SBGC Challenge Bowl. Safety Beach entered 2 teams so there were 16 in all, a total of 64 ladies!

The SBGC ladies were thrilled to host teams from the following clubs including 4 from outside the district shown in red:

Carrington Park, Cerberus, Eastwood, Devilbend, Gardiners Run, Moonah Links, Mornington*2, Mt Martha*2, Patterson River, Portsea, Riversdale & Rosebud Park.

The winners were Riversdale with 72 points, while Carrington Park were runners up with 66 points. The best pair were also from Riversdale (38 points) on count back from Gardiners Run.

The day was a huge success thanks to the hard work of the ladies committee and other volunteers on the day including John & Neil who worked behind the bar. Great work team!

Special thanks go to Damon Quigley, his staff and volunteers for the work they have done to ensure the course was in such great condition despite all the recent rain. We had many compliments about the course but in particular about the condition of the greens.
