Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 15th January 2019

Lots of fog greeted the ladies today for the first competition day of 2019. Once the fog cleared it was a very hot muggy day so tough conditions for players, especially those walking so well done everyone. There were 43 ladies competing and I noticed many cool towels in use. If you do not have one there are some left and are great value at $10 each or $8 each if you buy more than 1. The event for both the 9 & 18 hole players today was Stroke/Putting and it was the qualifying event for the Summer Cup. The 18-hole ladies were also competing for the January Monthly Medal as well as the first qualifying round for the 2019 Silver Spoon event. Results for the day are below:

18 Hole Players – B Grade Winner: Teresa Lincoln (24) Nett 65, Runner Up: Linda Fredricson (21) Nett 71. C Grade Winner: Pam Scholtz (34) Nett 72, Runner Up: Deb Sein (42) Nett 73. Congratulations to Teresa who is our first Medal winner for 2019 with a sensational score. Teresa has been in hot form recently & winning everything, well done on all the hard work! The top 16 qualify for the Summer Cup

9 Hole Players – Winner: Joan Davies (40) Nett 32 on count back from Runner Up: Enid Hamilton (39) Nett 32. Great scores ladies & good to see 19 ladies in this competition, with 16 to qualify for the 9-Hole Summer Cup.

Putting: 9 Holes: Joan Davies with 14 putts, 18 Holes: June Roach with 27 putts.

NTP’s – 6th Hole: Ros Frame, 13th Hole: Kim Reynolds.

Pro Ball Winners – 9 Holes: Jeanette Bourke, Susan Driver, Di Camilleri, Ilse Urlus & Diane Tullberg. 18 Holes: Joan Spence, Corina Cross, Denise Law, Kim Reynolds & Barbara Bright.

There were no neat card awards this week.

Next week all players will be playing Match Play so will be in pairs & we will be starting from different holes to ensure everyone finishes in good time. Those who qualified for the Summer Cup will be seeded based on finishing order. Both draws will be sent out by Friday morning by Linda & Diane so remember to book online by Thursday night if you wish to play!

Enjoy the rest of the week & weekend, the tennis if you are going or watching on TV & keep cool!
