Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 15th May 2018

Well it had to happen I guess, a rainy day on a Tuesday for ladies golf. We cannot complain really as the rain is badly needed & it least it wasn’t too cold. The event today was Stableford Foursomes with the winner of the 18 hole event to qualify for the Doris Chambers Cup.  On arrival at the course it was overcast but not too bad & the radar did not show any rainy weather heading our way so 12 pairs started in the 18 hole competition & 8 in the 9 hole competition. Unfortunately some light showers began & then steadily became a bit heavier, Melbourne’s unpredictable weather on show again. As a result of this, many players then became very wet & pulled out with only 4 pairs completing the 18 hole event & 5 the 9 hole event. Well done to all of those ladies!

Results for the day are below:

18 Hole Winners: Deb Sein (44) & Lyn Greer (31) 27 Points, Runners Up: Colleen Warfield (28) & Linda Fredricson (24) 26 Points. Congratulations to Deb & Lyn who will now represent Safety Beach GC at the Doris Chambers Cup on Friday 5th October at Cranbourne GC. Good luck to you both!

9 Hole Winners: Barbara Clarke (36) & Joan Davies (39) 17 Points, Runners Up: Gerry Robson (45) & Di Camilleri (44) 12 Points on count back from Dot Crompton & Pat Tindall. Great scoring Barbara & Joan.
