The weather forecast predicted high humidity, rain, thunder & lightning for the final round of both Club Championship events today. Thankfully there was not too much rain (a couple of heavy showers) a bit of thunder (most when we had finished) & it was quite humid but no lightning, so very lucky. Some ladies chose not to play however a total of 42 (29*18 holers & 13*9 holers) played today, a good attendance given the weather! Results for the day were close both in the day events and Club Champs with the exception of the 18 hole gross result as you will see below:
Day Event 18 Hole Players – B Grade Winner: Joan Spence (29) Nett 69, Runner Up: Linda Fredricson (25) Nett 70. C Grade Winner: Val Morrison (34) Nett 69, Runner Up: Viv Goodson (36) Nett 72. Well done to Joan & Val, both excellent scores on a tough day.

Club Championship Results 18 Hole Players – Winner: Barbara Bright (18) Gross 267, Runner Up: Denise Law (28) Gross 294. Congratulations to Barbara, a worthy & clear cut champion for 2020 with 3 very consistent rounds & well done to Denise. B Grade Nett Winner: Denise Law (28) 210, Nett Runner Up: Barbara Bright (18) 213. C Grade Nett Winner: Val Morrison (34) 215, Nett Runner Up: Sharon deHaan (37) 217. Congratulations to Denise & Val & also to Barbara & Sharon, both events were very close & came down to the last round!

Next week is Par & Captain’s Team vs President’s Team so remember to book online. Both draws will both be done randomly and emailed out to all ladies & will indicate which team you are in. All players in the Captain’s team are to wear blue while the President’s Team members are to wear Pink. See you then!
