A calm and overcast day greeted the 45 ladies who played today in the Handicap Match Play for both the 9 & 18 hole players. This was the first round of the Summer Cup for the 16 ladies who qualified on the 15th January for each event. Results for the day were as follows:

Pam Scholtz defeated June Roach 1 Up, Linda Fredricson defeated Lynn Gray 1 Up, Joan Spence defeated Barbara Sargent 2&1, Deb Sein defeated Lyn Greer 2&1, Kim Reynolds defeated Penny McCarthy 4&2, Barbara Bright defeated Helen Danson 3&2, Viv Goodson defeated Denise Law 1 Up & Joan Coombs defeated Ros Frame 1 Up.  Other results were: Sue O’Connor defeated Jenny Dovison 5&4, Glenn Barber defeated Cathy Roussis 2&1, Anita Powell defeated Margaret Carroll 3&2 and Colleen Warfield defeated Judith Whittaker 3&2.
