It felt like Spring had arrived early for golf on Tuesday 23rd February as it was very cool. Not much wind at the start of the day but as usual it did pick up later on. There were still 50 ladies (1 not in the competition) on course though, great to see!
As the Saturday players still have 1 round to play the 18 hole champion will not be known until then however the 9 hole champion was decided yesterday. Presentations will be held for all winners next week.

18 Hole Event – 28 Players
B Grade Winner: Ros Frame (26) Nett 68 on count back from Runner Up Barbara Bright (18) so a very close contest!
C Grade Winner: Sue White (42) Nett 66, Runner Up: Lou Verstraelen (41) Nett 67. Another close contest with the handicap being the difference. Both Sue & Ros were very happy winners!
Pro Ball Winners (Nett 72 or better): Sharon DeHaan,Michele Cooke, Jean Harle, Denise Law, Penny McCarthy, Jenny Williamson & Viv Goodson.
9 Hole Event – 21 Players
Winner: Robyn Hubble (39) Nett 32, Runner Up: Dot Crompton (45) Nett 33 on count back from Susan Driver so another close contest! A great result for Robyn who was playing in her first competition event at the Valley.
Pro Ball winners (Nett 36 or better): Susan Driver, Angie Hunter, Kath Dobson,Ros Champion & Lyn Greer.
The 9 Hole Champion for 2021 with a total gross score of 170 over 3 rounds is Barbara Sargent (36) while Glenn Barber (44) was runner up with 179. The 9 Hole Nett Champion is Glenn Barber with a total of 113 while Barbara Sargent was runner up with 115. A great contest ladies, well done!

For those not able to stay for the presentation, please note that all ball prizes are in the Pro Shop for you to collect.
Remember to book by Thursday night for next Tuesday 2nd March when it is Stroke & Putting for all players plus the 18-hole ladies will be competing for the March Monthly Medal & to qualify for the Silver Spoon event. The seeded draw will be emailed to everyone entered on Friday morning & will also be in One Golf.
