A total of 38 ladies played in the 9 & 18 hole events today & both groups were playing Par that very popular game which Joan Spence refers to as ‘Not fair golf!’ The 18 hole players were competing for the Stan Petty Trophy & Stan was there to present this lovely bowl to the winner as you can see below.

It was 20 degrees at 8am for the first tee time so a very mild Autumn morning with a little wind about. The greens had been cored & sanded on Monday but considering this were in pretty good condition just not as quick as we’re used to. The results for the day are below:

B Grade Winner: Lyn Greer (31) 1 Up, Runner Up: Denise Law (28) 2 Down on count back from Joan Spence & Jean Harle also on 2 down so a close contest for runner up! C Grade Winner: Judith Whittaker (37) 2 Up, Runner Up: Penny McCarthy (35) 3 Down. Congratulations to Judith Whittaker who is the winner of the Stan Petty Trophy for 2018 with a super score.

9 Hole Winner: Barbara Clarke (37) 1 Up, Runner Up: Di Camilleri (44) All Square on count back from Renate Weiner & Dot Crompton who were also all square. Well done ladies on a great contest.
