Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 25th January 2022

Summer Cup Match Play – 2nd Round

Below are the results for the 2nd round of handicap match play with those ladies (9 & 18 hole players) who won last week competing for the Summer Cup while others played for the experience of a different format. It was another very sunny, warm & humid day. A total of 44 (26*18 holes & 18*9 holes) ladies played on the day.

Sue O’Connor (34) defeated Dot Crompton (45) 2 Up

Irene Hedges (45) defeated Joan Davies (45) 3&2

Sue & Irene now play in the final on a day agreed by them both with a referee present. This match must be completed by the end of February.

Gerri Robson (32) defeated Lou Verstraelen (37) 4&3

Val Morrison (34) defeated Angela Olarenshaw (31) 1Up after an extra hole.

Robyn Hubble (40) defeated Helen Danson (35) who retired due to the heat.

Michele Cooke (25) defeated Denise Law (26) 5&3

Cheryl Westcott (36) defeated Vicki Mallcott (38) 1Up

Linda plays Val & Kathy plays Gerri to decide who plays in the final. Players to agree a day & time to complete these matches before the end of March. As with the 9-hole event, a referee must be present for the final.

18 Hole Pro Balls were awarded to Angela Olarenshaw, Vicki Mallcott, Anne Anderson, Sue White, Ros Frame & Jean Harle.

All winners were given a ball so if you were not at the presentation please check the Pro Shop!

Remember to book by Friday night for next week when ALL ladies will be playing Stroke & counting putts in the 1st round of the Club Championships. The 18-hole ladies will also be competing for the Tuesday February Monthly Medal & to qualify for the Silver Spoon.
