Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 25th June 2019

A beautiful clear frosty morning greeted the ladies today along with a balmy 5 degree temperature when the 18 hole ladies started off! Lots of frost and ice about so very slippery conditions plus the course was very wet from all the recent rain so tough conditions. This did not deter the 36 ladies who played today though which is great to see and once the sun came out it was a glorious winter day. The 24*18-hole ladies were playing Stableford Split 6, a fun team game with 2 players each playing their own stableford game but also playing as a pair. The stableford scoring is different for each 6 holes played, as follows: for the first 6 holes, the best score is counted, for the next 6 holes the scores for the2 players are added together and for the final 6 holes the 2 scores are multiplied. The first 12 holes seemed to work fine for most, the problems came when the multiplying started as zero times anything is zero and it was ‘sorry partner’ if your score was zero!! The 12*9-hole ladies were playing Split 3 so the same format but split into 3 holes not 6.Most of the ladies seemed to enjoy the format apart from the multiplying! There were some pretty good scores though considering the conditions as you can see below:

18 Hole Players – Winners: Enid Hamilton (41) & Viv Goodson (32) 41 Points, Runners Up: Joan Spence (28) & Helen Danson (39) 40 Points. Great scores ladies, well done! 9 Hole Players – Winners: Barbara Clarke (35) & Diane Tullberg (37) 20 Points, Runners Up: Joan Davies (40) & Pat Webster (45) 19 Points. Great work ladies, excellent scores!

NTP’s – 4th Hole: Linda Fredricson, 14th Hole: Liz Gregory.

Pro Balls – 18 Hole Players: Cheryl Wescott, Jenny Dovison, Lynn Gray, Linda Fredricson, Michele Cooke & Kim Reynolds. 9 Hole Players: Gerri Robson, Dot Crompton, Judy Ireland & Ilse Urlus. Well done to you all and to every lady who was out there playing today.

Next week is Stableford and the July Monthly Medal for the 18 hole ladies. Remember to book by Thursday night!
