Great to see 40 keen ladies (26*18 hole players & 14*9 hole players) take on the extremely windy conditions that greeted everyone today. Rain threatened early but did not eventuate, it was definitely cooler than recent days but not the worst conditions experienced and the sun did come out periodically. All players started on the back 9 today in the second round of the 4BBB Stableford Club Championships. The 9 hole players do not get a chance to play the back often so it was a good experience for them, just a shame the weather was not a bit kinder. Despite the conditions though there were some great scores on the day in both events as the results below show:
18 Hole Players – Winners: Lynn Gray (29) & Joan Spence (27) 39 Points, Runners Up: Enid Hamilton (41) & Cheryl Westcott (37) 38 Points. Well done to both teams, super scores. Congratulations to Pam Scholtz (34) & Colleen Blackmore (30) who are the 18-hole 4BBB Club Champions for 2019 with a 2 round points total of 75 Points! Well done also to Lynn Gray & Joan Spence who were runners up & only 1 point behind in what was an extremely close contest!
9 Hole Players – Winners: Pat Tindal (45) & Lee Grubb (45) 18 Points, Runners Up: Judy Ireland (45) & Ilse Urlus (45) 14 Points. Very good scoring on the back 9 ladies considering you do not have the opportunity to play it often. Congratulations to Pat Tindal & Lee Grubb who with a 2 round total of 35 Points are the inaugral winners of the 9-hole 4BBB Stableford individual trophies. These were kindly donated by Judy Hunter, along with several other lovely trophies which will be used for future 9 hole events. Many thanks Judy for your generosity. Diane Tullberg & Judy Hunter were runners up with 28 points, well done to you both also.
NTP’s – 6th Hole: Jean Harle, 12th Hole: Kim Reynolds.
Pro Balls – 18 Hole Players: Helen Danson, Colleen Blackmore, Pam Scholtz, Kim Reynolds, Val Morrison, Liz Gregory & Sue O’Connor. 9 Hole Players: Helen Short, Di Camilleri, Judy Hunter & Diane Tullberg.
Next week is Stroke/Putting for all players plus the April Monthly Medal & final Silver Spoon Qualifyer for the 18 hole players. Be sure to register on line no later than Thursday night so Diane & Linda can email the draw out by the weekend.
The Pennant Team play against Berwick Montuna at Cerberus on Friday, good luck ladies!
