A very cool morning for the start of golf on Tuesday 26th May but once the early fog lifted, it was a gorgeous Autumn day. A pretty good turnout too with 17*9 hole players & 26*18 hole players competing in the Stableford events yesterday. The course was still very wet in places but had improved considerably since Saturday.
Please remember to take a sand bucket to fill in divots on the tees and fairways and have that pitch repairer handy to repair pitch marks on the greens even if they are not yours! If you manage to get a ferret please mark this on your card so it can be recorded and note that the system reports enable birdies to be recorded so no need to mark these.
The score cards were all scanned safely in the afternoon but please continue put your card in the scorecard box outside the Pro Shop door. If your card is not there you will not have a chance to win a ball with the lucky card draw which replaces the NTP prizes.
Results for the day are below, congratulations to the winners & well done to all those who entered:
1. B Grade 18 Holes – Winner: Linda Fredricson (25) 33 Points, Runner Up: Judith Whittaker (32) 32 Points.
2. C Grade 18 Holes – Winner: Anita Powell (40) 38 Points, Runner Up: Maureen Cousins (38) 37 Points. Great scores ladies, your handicaps have taken a hit as a result.
3. 9 Hole Players – Winner: Enid Hamilton (43) 13 Points, Runner Up: Glenn Barber (43) 11 Points.
All winners receive a Coles Myer voucher which can be collected from the Pro Shop while pro ball winners now receive a golf ball from Shane. All ball winners (runners up, 2 each and lucky card winners, 1 each) can collect their prize from Shane in the Pro Shop. All prizes are there now and have your name on.
To win a Pro Ball in the 18 hole event a score of 28 or better was required. Well done to Cheryl Westcott, Joan Coombs, Val Morrison, Jenny Dovison, Deb Sein & Lynn Gray. For the 9 hole players a score of 9 points or better was required. Well done to Kath Dobson, Jackie Mazoletti, Pat Webster & Lucy Bond. Commiserations to Lee Grubb & Judy Ireland who missed out on count back!
Lucky card winners (instead of NTP) can also collect a ball from the Pro Shop. Congratulations to Marj Burridge & Ros Champion who are the winners this week.
Looks like we will not be able to hold presentations until late July at earliest based on the latest government announcements which allow for only 20 people inside and alcohol can only be served with meals.
To have a change from Stableford there will be a Par competition event on the 9th June and it will also be a Mulligans Day! Look out for all the details about this day later in the week.
