Another good day for golf although the wind & warmth increased as the day went on making for some challenges out there. There were 22 ladies in the 18 hole Stableford event & 13 in the 9 hole event as well as 2 ladies completing cards for handicapping purposes, so another great turn out. Also it was lovely to see Bernadette (Bernie) Carruthers back at the course & looking so well. Think after a busy day catching up with everyone her voice has probably gone now though! We hope to see you back again soon Bernie.

The results for the day were as follows: B Grade Winner: Barbara Bright (21) 33 Points, Runner Up: Joan Spence (30) 29 Points on count back from Denise Law also with 30 Points. C Grade Winner: Helen Danson (42) 30 Points, Runner Up: Margaret Carroll (41) 29 Points.

9 Hole Ladies: Winner: Joan Davies (39) 15 Points on count back from Kath Dobson (45) who was Runner Up also with 15 Points.

NTP’s 4th Hole: Deb Sein, 13th Hole: Lynn Gray. Well done to Deb who was playing in her first competition now that she has a handicap!

Today was the start of the golf clinics with 22 ladies signed up for the beginners class, so Shane Johnson & Jo Charlton were kept very busy. It was great to see so many new & enthusiastic ladies wanting to learn how to play the game. Unfortunately Jo could not make it back for the afternoon session so several ladies opted not to attend so that Shane did not have too many ladies to coach. Another session will be added at the end of March so you will not miss out ladies!
