Ladies Golf Results Tuesday 2nd March 2021

Once again a very cool day for golf & despite yet another round of stroke there were still 43 ladies on course, including our latest new member Anne Anderson. All ladies were counting putts as well while the 18-hole players were competing for the March Monthly Medal & to qualify for the Silver Spoon event. Some great scores again yesterday as the results below show, congratulations to the winners:

18 Hole Event – 23 Players

B Grade Winner ($20 voucher): Sharon DeHaan (29) Nett 63, Runner Up (2 balls) Denise Law (28) Nett 70, on count back from Barbara Bright (18). A fantastic effort by Sharon who achieved her personal best score on the course!

C Grade Winner ($20 voucher): Cathy Roussis (35) Nett 67, Runner Up (2 balls): Gerri Robson (36) Nett 69.

Pro Ball Winners (Nett 73 or better): Barbara Bright, Jean Harle, Denise Law, Sue White, Jeanette Bourke & Colleen Blackmore. Apologies to Joan Spence & Cheryl Westcott who missed out on count back.

Putting Winner: Denise Law with 27 putts won a glass.

Neatest Card Winner: Joan Spence won a sleeve of balls.

9 Hole Event – 20 Players

Winner ($15 voucher): Karen Rikken (43) Nett 33, Runner Up (2 balls): Lyn Greer (33) Nett 35. Well done ladies a good contest.

Pro Ball winners (Nett 39 or better): Lee Grubb, Susan Driver, Dot Crompton, Robyn Hubble & Barbara Clarke. Apologies to Judy Ireland who missed out on count back.

Putting Winner: Diane Tullberg with 15 putts, won a glass

Neatest Card Winner: Susan Driver won a sleeve of balls.

For those not able to stay for the presentation, please note that all ball prizes are in the Pro Shop for you to collect.

NTP Lucky Card Draw: Viv Goodson & Pat Webster who each won a ball.

Club Champions for 2021:

The 9 Hole Gross Champion with a total score of 170 over 3 rounds is Barbara Sargent (36) while Glenn Barber (44) is runner up with 179. The 9 Hole Nett Champion is Glenn Barber with a total of 113 while Barbara Sargent is runner up with 115. A great contest ladies, well done!

The 18 Hole Gross Champion with a total score of 259 over 3 rounds is Barbara Bright (19) while Teresa Lincoln (19) was runner up with 271. The 18 Hole B Grade Nett Champion with a total of 202 is again Barbara Bright, a great effort! Runner Up is Sharon DeHaan (31) with 203, another super effort from one of our newer golfers. The C Grade Nett Champion is Penny McCarthy (40) with a total of 209 while Jenny Williamson (42) is runner up with 213. Congratulations to all these ladies & to all who competed both on Tuesdays & Saturdays. There were many personal best scores achieved & some great contests for all trophies! Barbara Sargent was unable to be present but Barbara Bright was presented with flowers (courtesy of Peninsula Drieds) by President Colleen Blackmore to congratulate her on her win.

Remember to book by Thursday night for next Tuesday 9th March when it is Par for all players plus the 18-hole ladies will be competing for the Stan Petty Trophy. It is also the first day of golf clinics so if you have registered but not paid, please do so before Tuesday.

The draw for next will be emailed to everyone entered on Friday morning & will also be in One Golf.
