Another good turn out today despite the threat of rain but at least it was cooler than the last few hot & humid days & the rain didn’t eventuate! There were 22*18 hole ladies who played another round of Match Play, some to progress further in the Summer Cup & others to gain more experience with Match Play golf. There were some very tight matches too which was great to see with all results as follows. Those in bold were Summer Cup matches: Maureen Cousins (43) defeated Margaret Carroll (40) 5/3, Denise Law (29) defeated Helen Danson (42) 5/4, Penny McCarthy (37) defeated Lyn Greer (33) 1 Up, Barbara Bright (21) defeated Joan Spence (31) 1 Up, Jean Harle (28) defeated Glenn Barber (44) 3/1, Cathy Roussis (37) defeated Irene Hedges (45) 3/2, Pam Scholtz (28) defeated Val Morrison (33) 3/1, Enid Hamilton (42) defeated Kim Reynolds (37) 2/1, Corina Cross (33) defeated Colleen Blackmore (33) 4/2, Jenny Dovison (31) defeated Anita Powell (40) 4/3 while Shirley Gray (31) & Viv Goodson (33) finished all square.

There were 13*9 hole players in the Par event today as well as another 5 ladies who were doing cards to obtain their handicap. It’s great to see such a great turn out in both events. Results for this event were:

Winner: Judith Whittaker (42) 3 Up, Runner Up: Helen Short 1 Up. Both super scores so well done ladies!

There was a slight mix up with the NTP’s today as we ended up with 2 different cards on the 6th hole so both ladies win!

NTP 4th Hole: Cathy Roussis, 6th Hole: Denise Law & Barbara Bright.
