What a magnificent day for golf today, Spring has definitely sprung! A total of 40 ladies played the back 9 in the 9 hole Drop Out Ambrose event today which had some fun rules on each hole to challenge all the players. It was also Committee Appreciation Day & the Ladies AGM as well as the second round of golf clinics so a very busy day! Results for the 9-hole Ambose are below:

Winners: Barbara Sargent (38) Jo Kelly (36) Ros Frame (24) & Joan Davies (44) Nett 25, Runners Up: Glenn Barber (45) Viv Goodson (35) Julie Galpin (45) & Jeanette Bourke (43) Nett 26, Third Place: Denise Law (29) June Roach (41) Angie Waters (27) & Dot Crompton (45) Nett 27. As the NTP was not claimed a Fourth Place Prize was awarded to:  Corina Cross (35) Kay Sims (45) Jean Harle (29) & Barbara Clarke (40) Nett 28. Congratulations to all teams for some great scoring despite the challenges you faced. I believe there were a few groups who struggled to tee off blind folded!

Thanks to Diane Tullberg, Judy Hunter and all their helpers who organised the lunch today, you all did a fantastic job. The club-rooms looked amazing and the food provided by all our lady members was superb. We certainly have some great cooks/chefs in the club!

Next week there is no golf on Tuesday as it is Melbourne Cup Day. Good luck if you plan to have a punt! Remember you can play on Wednesday in the Stableford Pro Comp day but you must book on-line.

On Tuesday 13th November it will be Stroke & Putting for both the 9 & 18-hole players with the latter playing for the Monthly Medal as well. Until then enjoy the weather, good golfing and happy punting!
