Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 3rd September 2019

A gorgeous Spring day greeted the 29 ladies who turned up to play Stableford today. There were 18 competing for the September Monthly Medal and 11 playing in the 9 hole event. Considering how many ladies are still away, a pretty good turnout. It was nice to play at home again after all the rain in recent weeks kept the course closed or meant it was unplayable for some time. Whilst it is still very wet on some holes it is improving slowly. The scores generally reflect how the course is playing although it did not seem to bother one of our ladies who has just returned from a nasty injury. Beware the injured golfer was certainly true in this case!  Results for the day are below:

18 Hole Players – B Grade Winner: Joan Spence (28) 31 Points, Runner Up: Colleen Blackmore (28) 30 Points. C Grade Winner: Cathy Roussis (36) 37 Points, Runner Up: Sue O’Connor (33) 32 Points. A big congratulations to Cathy who is the Medal winner for September. Cathy was extremely excited to win too as you can see from the photo below! Cathy is in the middle with the big smile.

9 Hole Players – Winner: Kath Dobson (43) 16 Points on count back from Runner Up: Lee Grubb (45) who told me she managed to hit the ‘No Carts on Fairway’ sign on the 1st hole and watched the ball come back to her!

NTP’s – 8th Hole: Nobody, we keep that ball for next week! 13th Hole: Linda Fredricson.

Pro Balls – 18 Holes: Helen Danson, Anita Powell, Kim Reynolds, Linda Fredricson & Joan Coombs. 9 Holes: Susan Driver, Judy Ireland & Wendy Simmons.

Many thanks to Gerri Robson who made the lovely soup yesterday, so tasty and really appreciated by everyone. Welcome back to Denise Law & Liz Gregory who have been away for several weeks enjoying the sights or chasing warm weather. No doubt more will return soon.

Next week is a 4 person drop out Ambrose for both the 9 and 18 hole players so remember to book on-line and teams will be selected randomly. An email will be sent to all players advising start time and teams by Saturday morning at the latest. Remember also that Tuesday the 8th October is Tee Off for Cancer & Guest Day. Invite a friend to play in a fun team event on this day when it will cost $10 for all players with a BBQ included on completion of play.
