Well what a dreadful morning it was for today, seems Tuesdays are still cursed with bad weather!
I must say it was amazing to see the number of ladies who turned up to play, that 17 ladies completed 9 holes & 2 played all 18 holes. Both ladies received a ball for their efforts, well done Sue & Bronwyn!
The event was changed to a 9 hole stroke putting competition so I have added a 3rd place prize. All results are below:
Winner: Sue White (35) Nett 35, receives a $30 voucher.
Runner Up: Val Morrison (36) Nett 36, receives a $15 voucher.
Third Place: Maureen Cousins (37) Nett 37 on count back, receives a $10 voucher.
Pro Balls (Nett 40 or better): Viv Goodson, Sue O’Connor, Cheryl Westcott & Di Camilleri.
NTP 2nd Hole: Penny McCarthy: wins a ball. Sorry Liz, as it was only a 9-hole competition the 12th hole didn’t count.
Putting: Val Morrison with 14 putts, also wins a ball.
All prizes will be in the Pro Shop for you to collect tomorrow.
As we were unable to complete the 18-hole event today (Stroke, Medal & Silver Spoon Day) I have re-scheduled this event to next week 11th May & have moved the Doris Chambers to the 8th June. Apologies if this change inconveniences anyone but I believe we should have a Tuesday medal day this month. So would you all please check the booking sheets to make sure your name is down correctly or remove your name if you are now unable to play next week.
Those 9-hole ladies who paid to enter today (8 brave ladies) do not have to pay next week as Shane has agreed to credit today’s payment to next week as the heavy rain came just after you teed off. Those to be credited are: Diane Tullberg, Glenn Barber, Enid Hamilton, Joan Davies, Kath Dobson, Pat Tindal, Judith Hunter & Lucy Bond.
Remember to find a partner for the Foursomes Championship (9 & 18 holes) then enter your names together on the booking sheet. FYI, Robyn Hubble is looking for a partner in the 18-hole event. The 1st round on Tuesday is the 18th May.
Good luck to all those ladies playing in the Golden Putter event at Rosebud on Thursday, have a great day!
Enjoy the rest of the week everyone & take care.
