Another perfect day for golf yesterday when both the 9 & 18-hole events were stroke & counting putts with 48 players (28*18 & 17*9) on course. The 18-hole players were also competing for the April Monthly Medal & it was the 3rd round of the Silver Spoon qualifier. For the first time since opening Tuesdays to all players we had one of the men playing in the 9-hole event. Well done to Glenn Lazzar who said he had a great day, despite having to play off a handicap of 2 from the red blocks & Glenn also attended presentations as well! Hopefully next time you can join the 18-hole players Glenn.
It really did feel like we are getting back to normal golf with flagsticks able to be removed for putting, rakes in bunkers & NTP’s back! Tuesday was also the first day the new competition fees came into play with $10 to play 18 holes & $7 to play 9 holes. Prize money for both events has increased as well with the 18 hole grade winners now receiving a $30 voucher (previously $20) & runners up a $15 voucher (previously 2 balls) providing there is a minimum of 25 players on the day. For the 9 hole players a minimum of 18 players are required for the prize money to increase to a $20 voucher for the winner & a $10 voucher for the runner up. Less than this receives prize money as outlined below for yesterday’s winners.
All results for the day are below, sorry no photos this week, all photographers were still away:
