Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 7th May 2019

Another superb day for golf with lots of sunshine. It was great to see 43 ladies playing either in the 9 (19) or 18 (24) hole events which were both Stroke & Putting. It was also Monthly Medal day for the 18 holes ladies as well as the Silver Spoon play off for 3 ladies today. There were no spectacular scores but as you can see from the results below it was close all round:

18 Hole Players – Winner B Grade: Denise Law (26) Nett 75 on count back from Colleen Blackmore (30) who was Runner Up. Winner C Grade: Penny McCarthy (35) Nett 77, Runner Up: Deb Sein (38) Nett 79 on count back from Helen Danson and Viv Goodson. As there was a tie for the medal,a play off is usually required between the 2 players (Denise & Colleen) on the next medal day. Denise will not be able to play in June unfortunately so the May medal will be awarded to Colleen next month. The Silver Spoon play off resulted in, you guessed it, another tie between Barbara Bright & Lyn Greer who will now play off in June to decide who represents the club at this event. Well done to all ladies!

9 Hole Players – Winner: Joan Davies (40) Nett 36, Runner Up: Diane Tullberg (37) Nett 38. Congratulations to you both.

Putting – 18 Hole Players: Liz Gregory with 31 Putts. 9 Hole Players: Diane Tullberg with 16 Putts.

NTP’s – 6th Hole: Di Camilleri, 12th Hole: Jean Harle.

Pro Balls – 18 Hole Players: Corina Cross, Lynn Gray, Helen Danson, Viv Goodson & Barbara Bright. 9 Hole Players: Di Camilleri, Lucy Bond, Barbara Clarke, Jenny Williamson & Ilse Urlus.

Neatest Cards: There were no cards from the 18 hole players that were neat enough to give awards to this week so 2 9 hole cards were selected. Congratulations to Judy Hunter & Kath Dobson. All 18 hole ladies need to ‘lift their game’ in order to win this prize!

Reminder to all players to please check that their score is correct on the computer screen before confirming it is correct.

Next week is Stableford Foursomes for all ladies and the event doubles as the Doris Chambers Qualifying event for the 18 hole players. So find a partner & make sure you put your names next to each other when you book in the system.
