Raffle

The annual Safety Beach Golf Club Championships came to the final finish on Saturday with big numbers of friends and supporters enjoying the fine weather and joining with the eventual winners. To see so many following the A Grade players as they completed their final holes was great to see, and once again shows up the big difference in social behaviour and support which has become evident in recent years. Morning groups were down because those playing off were allocated afternoon times, so the atmosphere early on was pretty quiet. However, the big numbers showing up from mid-afternoon allowed a worthwhile raffle result. A Cliffex meat tray was won by Norman George, as was another which went to Rob Driver. Col Whittingham won the six-pack of Crown Lager. Our congratulations to all champions.
