Tuesday Ladies Golf Results – 11th January 2022

Stroke Putting Monthly Medal & Summer Cup Qualifier

What a hot & humid day it was on Tuesday 11th January to welcome everyone back to golf for the new year.

A total of 44  ladies (26*18 hole players & 18*9 hole players) competed in the Stroke & Putting events. The 18 hole players were also trying to win the January Monthly Medal.

As a courtesy, would ladies who were down to play but then unable to play for whatever reason, please advise Linda via text or email. Do not just take your name out as this has an impact on the draw & your designated playing partners. Thanks.

Some ladies have asked why the rakes are not in the bunkers & also why the flagsticks still cannot be removed. Both are in fact allowed but only if regularly cleaned under the high-touch surfaces provision. As the Valley does not have sufficient staff to comply with these cleaning requirements the decision was made continue without rakes & not removing the flagsticks until further notice.

18 Hole Event – 26 Players

Pro Ball winners (Nett 36 or better): Margarite Stewart, Wendy Simmons, Sue O’Connor & Joan Davies. Margaret Carroll missed out on count back.

Putting Winners (2 balls): Cheryl Saker with 13 putts on count back from Pat Webster so a very close contest.

NTP 4th Hole (1 ball): Val Morrison.

NTP 12th  Hole (1 ball): Lyn Greer.

The Summer Cup qualifiers are shown below for both events so please advise ASAP if you are unable to play next week as the format for all players for the next 2 weeks is Handicap Match Play. A copy of ‘how to play’ instructions will be sent with the draw & they will also be available on Tuesday.

Remember to still book for golf next Tuesday 18th January by Friday night (14th) or you will not be in the draw. If you did not play on Tuesday you can still play match play next week. The draw will be emailed on Saturday morning all going well.
